Through this class, I have been exposed to many forms of technology that I was unfamiliar with or had little exposure to. Previously, I just used Microsoft Powerpoint as a presentation software in my classroom. A presentation software is a software package used to display information in the form of a slide show. Another alternative to Powerpoint that I learned in this class is Prezi and Powtoon. After doing a research from Internet, I found that a lot of presentation software available. Some have their pros and cons while others are perfect for a certain audience.
In this class, I was discovered Prezi, Powtoon and Haiku Deck. Prezi provides people with creating better style and effect in their presentations. Prezi uses the concept of Pathway Points instead of slides to give the visual cinematic appeal of their presentations. It can be used by practically anyone and easy to learn but Prezi was difficult to customize slides. Powtoon is an animation presentation software that allows a user to create presentations and videos that are animated, interesting and engaging. When first time uses Powtoon, I really like the interface and it truly customizable presentation but Powtoon not suitable to live presentations. Haiku Deck software is a template-based platform that allows for people to create elegant looking presentations. This software is the fast onboarding process but users cannot customize the presentations.
