Audio and video is also a popular tool used to engage learners and enhance a learning experience. Anyone with a digital camera, webcam, tablet or smartphone can now create and edit a sound and movie. Video can effectively communicate complex information to a student and, if used creatively, can become a powerful expressive tool.
Based on my experience, I rarely used audio in my classroom. I was used video or Youtube for additional resource to my students. If creating and using video and audio content as part of my learning materials, I require a lot of planning to make sure that it’s fit for purpose and appropriate for the type of learning.
